AFCA Voluntary Car Service (VCS) is a collaboration with Lincolnshire County Council Transport Service Group and Community Doctor Surgeries to provide transport for all with need to attend medical appointments, dental appointments, clinics and hospitals.
We also provide a transport service for those who have mobility problems seeking access to local clubs and meetings. Such as Bingo, Over 60s Club etc.
The Voluntary Car Service (VCS) is for members (membership service of £10 per year, £2.00 booking fee and £0.50p per mile) and non-members, which pay a £5.00 booking fee and £0.50p per mile. Waiting times of 2 hours or more are paid for at £5.00 to cover additional expenditure and beverages.
Applications for membership is by completion of a form available through our website contact.
Our drivers are all volunteers and where we can fit you in, we will endeavour to find a local driver to take care of you. All drivers are DBS Checked.
We are seeking for new drivers to join our service; the more drivers we have the better service we can provide. For those who have retired with a car sat on your driveway we cover the expenses at £0.45p per mile.
Our insurance is covered by Lincolnshire County Council and will not affect your current motor insurance policy. We will provide a letter stating that you are driving for a Voluntary Car Service, should your insurance request one.
